Can I visit a dental provider in a foreign country?
We honor assignment of benefits to providers in the United States only. Many foreign-based providers do not verify member benefits with us, so insurance reimbursements can only be sent to the member. Therefore, a foreign-based provider may require payment in full from the member before services are completed. Providers in the United States verify member benefits with us and may request that the member only pay the portion of the total cost that isn't reimbursed before services are completed.
